First thing in the morning, before the day gets loud, give it 20 minutes and set the creative tone for everything that follows.
When you're stuck, blocked, or staring at a blank page and need something to move you.
As a mid-day reset when you need to step away from everything and come back to yourself.
At the end of a long week when you want to create something just for you, no audience, no purpose except joy.
When inspiration feels far away and you need the Playground to hold the spark until you're ready.
As a Sunday ritual to fill your creative cup before the week begins.
Any time you open your journal and want to take what you wrote one step further, into music.
When something new drops in the Playground and you want to be the first to play with it.

This space was not built by someone who had it all figured out from the beginning.
It was built by a woman who spent decades keeping her songs hidden, scribbled in journals, hummed quietly in empty rooms, played on guitar when no one was listening.
A self-taught guitarist who convinced herself she wasn't a "real" musician.
A woman who thought, for far too long, that her creative window had already closed.
That woman is me.
My name is Diane Liberty. I'm the creator of the Musical Self-Care Project, and I'm almost 70 years old, proof that the creative life doesn't have a deadline, and neither does your music.
I built this space because I needed it myself: a place where women who are ready to finally make their music can show up exactly as they are and create something real.
-
I've been a songwriter my whole life, in secret.
Not on stage. Not in a studio.
In the quiet spaces of my own life, turning feelings into melodies and memories into lyrics that only I ever heard.
My guitar has been my constant companion.
Not for performance.
For therapy. For escape. For communicating with the part of me that doesn't have any other language.
But two beliefs kept me from sharing any of it:"I'm not a real musician." - "I'm too old to start now."
I believed both for years. Until the day I decided to stop.
-
The turning point arrived through curiosity, and a tool called Suno.
When I first heard about AI music generation, I almost dismissed it. Too complicated. Not for someone like me. But one day I tried anyway.
I recorded a rough guitar melody, uploaded it, added a few style prompts, and pressed generate.
What came back didn't sound like a rough idea anymore.
For the first time, I could hear my song wrapped in a full, professional arrangement.
I wasn't handing my creativity to a machine.
I was finally giving it a home, one that asked nothing of me except to show up exactly as I was.Everything clicked.
I figured it out one song at a time, and I haven't stopped since.
One became two. Two became twenty.
And twenty became more than 40 original songs now streaming on popular platforms, living on my YouTube channel, and right here on my website.
Still growing… and I'm just getting started.
It started simply with a guitar, a voice, AI tools, and a creative rhythm I built one song at a time.
-
After everything shifted for me, I felt something unexpected: a quiet, joyful sense of responsibility.
I know her. I was her.
She's the woman with notebooks full of lyrics no one has ever read.
The one who has carried a song inside her through every ordinary moment of her life.
The one who has whispered "maybe someday" for so long she's almost stopped believing it.
That is exactly what this Playground was built to do.
I built the Musical Self-Care Playground for her.
And I want to be honest with you: this Playground is still growing, and so am I.
New tools, guides, rituals, and resources are being added all the time, because my own creative journey keeps moving forward too.
Every new thing I discover, every process I refine, every song I publish, it finds its way back here for you.
What you're stepping into isn't a finished product.
It's a living, expanding creative space built by a woman who is still in the middle of her own story, still learning, still creating, still surprising herself.
Coming in now means you grow with it, and your lifetime access means everything that's added is already yours, now and always.
-
Here's something that doesn't get said enough: the songs you make now are part of what you leave behind.
Every track you publish, every lyric you finally let out into the world, that's your voice, your stories, your life, preserved in sound.
Long after you're gone, someone will press play and hear exactly who you were.
That is not a small thing. That is everything.
The Musical Self-Care Playground isn't just about making music.
It's about making sure your music exists, documented, published, heard, and remembered.
-
You've been writing songs in secret and you're ready to let them be heard
You're curious about AI music tools but have no idea where to start
You have no studio, no big budget, no formal training, and you need to know that's completely okay
You're in midlife, approaching or past 60, and wondering if your creative time has passed (it has not)
You want to make music that sounds like you, not a template, not a trend, but you
You want your stories to outlive you
-
The line that became the heart of everything I do:
“Go ahead and make it happen, because the rewards are unimaginable. You can't put a price on it".
I know, because I've lived it.
And now I'm here to walk beside you while you do too.
Welcome to the Musical Self-Care Playground.
You are right on time.
