NOTHING STAYS

Seasons turn without asking permission. Rivers keep moving even when no one's watching. Nothing in this world was built to stay exactly as it is, and somehow, that's not a sad thing. It's the whole point.
There's a strange comfort in remembering that change isn't a mistake or a punishment. It's just how things work. The tightness you feel today won't feel the same in a month. The version of you that struggled through last year isn't the version standing here now. Even grief softens its edges over time, not because it disappears, but because life keeps moving underneath it.
Holding on tightly to what's already shifting only makes the letting go harder. Trees don't fight the wind. They bend, they lose their leaves, they stand bare for a while, and then spring comes anyway. Growth almost always requires some kind of ending first.
"What softens you is not always loss, sometimes it's just life, teaching you how to open your hands."
Maybe the real skill isn't resisting change but learning how to move with it. Not clinging to the way things were, and not rushing toward what's next either, just staying present enough to notice the in-between moments, where most of life quietly happens.
"Nothing stays, and still, everything that mattered leaves something behind."
So when things shift, a relationship, a routine, a version of yourself you thought was permanent, try not to see it as loss alone. See it as motion. As proof that you're still part of something alive.
Nothing stays. And somehow, that's what makes it all worth paying attention to.
