MORNING JAZZ

Mornings like this don't come around often, so when they do, it's worth noticing.
The world is still stretching awake, and maybe you are too...not fully, not yet.
There's a soft, in-between space before the day asks anything of you, before the lists and the noise creep in.
That space is yours. It's the perfect place to simply be.
Jazz understands this kind of morning. It doesn't rush toward an ending. It wanders, it improvises, it lingers on notes longer than expected, just because it can.
Mornings could learn something from that. Not every one of them needs a purpose or a plan.
Some are just meant to unfold gently, like a saxophone riff that takes its sweet time getting where it's going.
"Some mornings aren't meant to be planned, they're meant to be felt."
Let the Morning Hold You
So if you can, let this morning stay soft. Let the music play a little longer than planned. Let the coffee go cold while you stay warm in the stillness, present, unhurried, in no rush to be anywhere else.
Slow mornings are still good mornings. Gentle ones still count. You're allowed one that asks nothing of you except to simply be there.
"You don't have to fill every quiet moment. Some are meant to just hold you."
